The Teaching Studio…Pinecroft’s School of Pottery
Jimmie and Selma Clennell in their first studio at Pinecroft 1948
Teaching pottery and presenting the joy of working with clay and encouraging the appreciation of the arts has been a goal of Pinecroft’s since it’s beginnings. In the early 1950′s Selma and Jimmie Clennell began to teach and through out their careers continued to encourage hundreds of people to embrace the love of clay and the pots that were made from it. Today Brenda Smith offers classes in pottery focusing on the wheel . Classes are held in the pottery studio on site and both evening and daytime sessions are offered. Studio space is available for competent students who wish to continue on their own. Registration information and available course dates are on the events page on the calendar. Classes are held in the spring and fall with winter sessions dependent on the weather. Staying at the B&B?…you may want to enquire about an introductory lesson on the wheel to compliment your stay. One and Two Day Workshops will be posted when they are available. |
